Banjo is a 5-year-old dapple grey Percheron cross gelding that is very well trained and has been exposed to a lot of situations for a horse his age. He spent most of summer 2022 working on a farm doing anything from mowing hay to hauling manure. In the fall, we started using him to give rides with buggies and doing some trail riding. Last spring and summer, Banjo was doing just about anything there is to do around our farm. He worked some plowing our pumpkin patches and giving buggy rides.
Banjo has also been used for a lot of trail rides last summer. He loves to go through the streams along the trails and he will easily step over logs. He has also been driven and ridden out in heavy traffic and does great. He is a horse that almost anyone can ride or drive but still has the energy of a young horse when you ask him to work.
Banjo is just starting to dapple more as he gets older, and he will be a beautiful dapple-grey color in the next year or 2.
He does good with the farrier and also clips and bathes nicely.
Banjo is going to be a great companion and a reliable horse for someone for a long time.
